At first, mostly excited to take the first step towards capturing our special day. But, quickly became a little overwhelmed and intimidate at the range of options.

An insight into Sydney and Jordan's journey into the world of wedding photography (from Syd's POV). From their initial thoughts and fears, to their on-the-day experience and seeing the final results.

How did you feel when you first started researching wedding photographers?

What were your biggest fears or concerns when it came to the wedding photography and did that influence your choice in photographer?

Biggest fears: photography influencing the way we do our day (interrupting the flow of the day), a photography style that wasn't authentic and aligned with the day, not capturing our favorite parts of our day, and having a photographer that doesn't fit well with us and our guests, and/or doesn't encourage us to be ourselves. After meeting you on zoom you made all those fears go away! So yes, it absolutely influenced who we chose as our photographer.

Amazing! Not only were you professional and organised (inspiring our confidence in you), you were fun, comfortable, super creative and adaptable, and we felt you 'got us'. You also went above and beyond expectations from start to finish, and we especially appreciate you taking the time to have a beer with us beforehand so we could get to know each other, and learn from you about the world of wedding photography. You made us so much more comfortable and confident from our day 1 meet-up all the way through to the big day.

Relieved (hah!), joyful, thankful! And, a little bittersweet -- the photos did such a beautiful job capturing the day so we couldn't help being a little sad it was over.

How would you describe how you felt after seeing the photos of the wedding day?

100% yes and would be more than happy to speak to any future bride and grooms if helpful! You're an amazing human to work with and the resulting photos were better than we could have ever imagined. We loved having you with us on our day - not just as our photographer, but also as a guest. 

Would you recommend me to others and why?
