Elouise & Kit — A Summer Wedding at Mona Farm, NSW

BY

Some weddings linger in your memory not because of one big moment, but because of how the day felt.

Elouise and Kit’s summer wedding at Mona Farm was one of those days — warm, relaxed, quietly joyful, and full of movement from beginning to end.

It was December, and the kind of summer day where everything unfolds at an unhurried pace. The light was generous. The air felt alive. And Mona Farm did what it does best — creating space for people to settle into the experience.

A Ceremony on the Crabapple Lawn

The ceremony took place on the Crabapple Lawn, surrounded by gardens in full voice.

There was an ease to it all. Guests gathered under open skies, the energy light and expectant, with just enough warmth in the air to remind everyone it was the heart of summer.

Elouise and Kit stood together, grounded and calm, as the ceremony unfolded — equal parts laughter and sincerity, with both families right there in the moment with them.

A Slow Start, a Gentle Pace

Earlier in the day, Kit and his groomsmen kept things simple.

With the heat building, we found shade beneath a tree for some relaxed getting-ready portraits — unforced, natural, and completely in tune with the day. No rushing, no stiffness. Just conversation, laughter, and a sense that everything was exactly where it needed to be.

That calm carried through the afternoon.

Wandering Through Mona Farm

Portraits unfolded as a quiet exploration rather than a scheduled event.

We moved through the gardens and into the forested pockets of the property, letting the environment guide us. Mona Farm invites that kind of movement — paths opening into light, trees offering shade, moments revealing themselves rather than being manufactured.

Later, as the sun dropped lower, we made our way up to the open fields.

Golden Hour in the Fields

The light softened and turned hazy, wrapping the landscape in warm tones.

Out in the fields, the day slowed again. Long grass catching the light. The horizon glowing. Elouise and Kit moving easily together, comfortable in the quiet after a full afternoon.

Those golden hour moments felt dreamy and unhurried — the kind of light you don’t chase, but simply arrive at.

A Reception Full of Energy

As evening set in, the tone shifted.

The reception was full of good energy from the start, with lively entrances setting things in motion and both families bringing warmth, humour, and genuine enthusiasm to the celebration.

There was laughter everywhere. Easy conversations. A dancefloor that filled quickly and stayed that way.

It was one of those nights where the joy felt collective — not performative, just shared.

Photographing Summer Weddings at Mona Farm

Mona Farm in summer has its own rhythm.

Shade and light working together. Gardens alive with colour. Open fields glowing late into the evening. It’s a place that rewards patience and presence — allowing moments to unfold naturally rather than forcing them into a frame.

Elouise and Kit’s wedding was a reminder of why this venue continues to draw couples who value beauty, atmosphere, and a sense of ease.
