Maddie is a person that knows what she wants. From the very start she had visions of being featured in VOGUE. In our initial meeting she told me exactly that. It didn’t come loaded with any pressure or expectations (Maddie is so super sweet), more that it would be nice if the stars aligned and the publication gods at Vogue looked favourably our way. A year out from the wedding I didn’t really give it much thought as many couples have similar visions and so much of it is down to luck.
Fast forward to a month out from the wedding. I met up with Maddie and she gave me a tour of the beautiful Silvergum Stables. This is where she reminded me of her dream for the wedding to be featured in Vogue. As she maintained gaze with me while she uttered those words, I kept a calm and relaxed demeanour while secretly shitting myself on the inside. She meant business!
The wedding day itself was everything as amazing as I thought it would be. That’s when I realised I don’t need to do anything different to what I usually do to get the attention of Vogue. Maddie and Angus were the stars of their own parade. All I had to do was capture it.
