You know how they say rain on your wedding day is good luck? Well, Chloe and Andrew’s wedding day at Anambah House in the Hunter Valley was living proof of that. Sure, the morning started with some pretty persistent rain, but honestly It just made everything that followed feel even more magical.
When we had to move the ceremony indoors to Anambah’s newly built chapel, I’ll admit I was a bit worried about fitting everyone in. But you know what? Sometimes the best moments happen when plans change. The chapel was absolutely packed with their loved ones, and Rosy Posy Co had worked their magic with these gorgeous white and blue arrangements that made the space feel so serene and elegant. There was this incredible intimacy that you just can’t plan for – everyone was literally closer together, and you could feel the love radiating from every corner.
And can we talk about Chloe’s dress for a second. This Tom Sebastian creation was absolutely stunning – off-the-shoulder with this dramatic high split and the most beautiful long train. But what really got me were all these intricate flowers sewn throughout the entire gown. Every time she moved, the light would catch different details, and paired with that vintage homestead backdrop… pure perfection.
Here’s where the day got really interesting though. Right after the ceremony, the rain stopped – like, completely stopped. We headed outside and Kristen from Rosy Posy Co had this brilliant idea to recreate their original ceremony setup in front of the fountain. The spot where they’d originally planned to say their vows. It was such a sweet touch and gave us some absolutely gorgeous shots.
But honestly, the best was yet to come. Just as the fathers were wrapping up their speeches (which were incredible, by the way – not a dry eye in the house), the sun decided to make its grand entrance. We’re talking proper golden hour magic here, people. We all rushed outside and what happened next was one of those spontaneous moments that you just can’t orchestrate. All the guests followed us out onto the lawn for this impromptu cocktail hour in the most glorious sunset light you’ve ever seen.
What struck me most about Chloe and Andrew’s day wasn’t just how beautiful everything looked, but how genuine and warm both families were. You could tell this wasn’t just two people getting married – it was two families coming together, and the love and joy was absolutely infectious.
Thank you so much for letting me be a part of it x
