Eleanor and Carl’s perfect day at Q Station Manly

Sometimes Sydney delivers the most perfect wedding day, and Eleanor and Carl’s celebration at Q Station in Manly was exactly that – blue skies, sunshine, and not even a hint of wind. As a Sydney wedding photographer, I can tell you that days like this are pure gold, and this Q Station wedding was absolutely magical from start to finish.

What I loved most about this day was how everything unfolded right on the property. Eleanor and Carl got ready next door to each other in one of Q Station’s charming houses, with both sets of parents beautifully involved in the preparations. The vibes were incredibly high – Carl’s mum was beaming as she pinned flowers on her boys’ lapels (Carl had both his brothers as groomsmen), while Eleanor’s mum was helping with those final dress adjustments. Eleanor looked absolutely stunning in her Karen Willis Holmes creation – a gorgeous lace-over-corset bodice paired with layers of dreamy organza that caught the harbor breeze perfectly.

The ceremony down on the jetty was the perfect mix of laughter and tears, expertly guided by Claire Belford. White House Flowers had transformed the space with the most incredible arrangements in oranges and pinks, and there wasn’t a breath of wind to disturb a single petal. One of the most touching moments was when Eleanor’s elderly grandfather stepped forward to present them with the rings – there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.

After cocktails overlooking the harbor (with glimpses of the Manly ferry making its way to Circular Quay), everyone moved into Q Station’s grand ballroom for the reception. Eleanor and Carl had thought of everything, including conversation cards to help their guests get to know each other better – such a sweet touch that had everyone chatting and laughing.

We managed to sneak away for some final photos in that gorgeous harbor-view spot, catching the last of that golden sunset light that made everything feel like a fairytale. But one of the biggest jaw-dropping moments came later when Eleanor changed into her sparkly mini party dress. Carl’s face was absolutely priceless!

For photos, we explored every corner of Q Station’s stunning grounds, and this relaxed, fun-loving couple made every single shot a joy to capture. Their laughter and genuine happiness made this Q Station wedding one for the books!
