Some weddings just feel easy from the moment you arrive.
Alandra and Scott’s wedding at Tinkersfield in the Snowy Mountains was one of those days – relaxed, joyful, full of laughter, and deeply grounded in connection.
They’re locals to the area, and like many great Snowy Mountains love stories, they met at the Banjo Paterson Inn. Fun, full of energy, and ready to party, these two brought a warmth to the day that you could feel everywhere – from the ceremony lawn to the packed dancefloor under the stars.
This was my second time photographing a wedding at Tinkersfield, and once again it reminded me why it’s such a special place for couples planning a Snowy Mountains wedding.
October in the Snowy Mountains can be unpredictable – but Alandra and Scott were gifted one of those perfect spring days.
The sun was shining, the air felt fresh, and the whole day had this light, joyful energy to it.
There was one brief moment where a huge gust of wind came out of nowhere and sent a few umbrellas flying – but honestly, that just added to the laughter. Apart from that, it was smooth sailing and golden light exactly when we needed it most.
The setting at Tinkersfield really shines in spring. Open space, mountain air, and a sense of calm that immediately slows everyone down.
The ceremony took place on the lawn at Tinkersfield, overlooking the surrounding landscape.
With 72 guests gathered, it felt intimate without being small – the perfect balance.
The ceremony was officiated by the legendary Yolande from Better Together Celebrations, and it truly had everything:
One of the standout moments?
A bridesmaid’s child yelling out “Best wedding ever!” mid-ceremony — which honestly summed it up pretty perfectly.

Earlier in the day, we met for a First Look at Diggings Campground, right by the river, with the mountains behind us still holding snow on their peaks.
It was midday and bright — not traditionally “ideal” light — but honestly, the photos turned out beautifully. When couples are relaxed, present, and having fun, that matters far more than perfection.
As we wandered through the long grass, Alandra casually mentioned snakes.
I replied, “The only snake you need to worry about is the trouser snake right next to you.”
We absolutely lost it.
That moment broke every remaining nerve. Alandra (Landi) is a natural in front of the camera, and from then on it was just laughter, movement, and genuine connection — exactly what I love capturing as a natural, relaxed style wedding photographer in the Snowy Mountains NSW.
Later, we ducked out during the reception for golden hour portraits — and this time felt different. Quieter. More intimate.
Landi and Scott admitted they’d been nervous earlier in the day, but by this point they had completely relaxed into it. No pressure, no posing for the sake of it — just the two of them, soaking it all in.
This is where the Snowy Mountains really shine. The light, the space, the sense of calm — it’s why couples often look for a wedding photographer in the Snowy Mountains Australia with a natural, relaxed style.

Alandra’s styling was bold, romantic, and perfectly her.
Scott wore a custom Institchu suit, and together they looked incredible.
The colour palette leaned into reds and pinks — romantic without feeling heavy. Red and pink roses filled the bouquet, ceremony arbour, and reception space, paired with red bows throughout. It felt intentional, fun, and deeply personal.
Everything took place on site at Tinkersfield — one of the reasons I so highly recommend it.
The food (as always) was incredible, the team were welcoming, and the energy just kept building. The speeches were hilarious — at one point a guest actually fell off their chair – and the photos from that moment are all laughter, tears, and big reactions.
Once Alandra changed into her red dress, the dancefloor absolutely ignited.
The Jindabyne crew know how to party, and they brought it.
As I left later that night, the sky was filled with stars — one of those moments where you pause, take it all in, and feel incredibly lucky to do what you do.
When Landi booked me, we jumped on a call and instantly clicked.
She knew what she wanted. She trusted me. No overthinking. No price conversations. She just wanted me and what I could bring to the day.
That kind of trust means everything.
It allowed me to show up fully — to be myself, crack jokes, connect with their guests, and photograph the day in a way that felt honest and immersive. This is exactly the kind of wedding I love photographing: incredible people, real stories, laughter, emotion, and a relaxed pace.

I’ve now photographed multiple weddings at Tinkersfield, and I can confidently say it’s one of the most beautiful and well-run wedding venues in the Snowy Mountains NSW.
